Job summary

Truly Green Farms au Canada (Ontario) recherche un ou une employé(e) permanent(e) pour réaliser des tâches agricoles variées dans une ferme de légumes et de melons.

Vous travaillerez 45 heures par semaine dans un environnement de travail exigeant, en côtoyant principalement des tomates et d’autres légumes. Aucune exigence de diplôme est requise; 7 mois à moins d’un an d’expérience est suffisant, avec un fort esprit d’équipe et de fiabilité.

Qualifications

• Éducation: aucun diplôme requis ou certificat requis.
• Expérience: 7 mois à moins d'1 an dans ce secteur.
• Compétences générales: sens de l'organisation, travail en équipe et adaptabilité.

Responsibilities

• Diviser les produits frais en lots destinés au marché et non destinés au marché.
• Nettoyage de la serre.
• Éliminer manuellement les gourmands et pousses
• Conduire et entretenir les machines agricoles.
• Planter, cultiver et irriguer les cultures.
• Détecter les maladies et les problèmes de santé des cultures.

TASKS

• Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots
• Greenhouse cleaning
• Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
• Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
• Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market
• Hand harvesting vegetables
• Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch high price in market.
