Position Overview
We are seeking a driven client-focused Farm Sales Representative with a passion for building relationships and delivering customized insurance solutions to Ontarios farming community. This is a sales-focused role that requires a strong understanding of farm insurance products the ability to develop and maintain new business and a consultative approach to client service. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing their own book of business within the farm and agri-business sector supported by a dedicated and respected brokerage team.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect identify and pursue new farm insurance clients in the Hamilton and Niagara regions
Conduct farm visits and risk assessments to develop tailored insurance programs
Provide expert guidance on a full suite of farm insurance products including coverage for buildings machinery livestock and liability
Build strong lasting client relationships through excellent communication trust and consistent follow-through
Maintain accurate records of sales activity and client interactions in the brokerage management system
Collaborate with account managers underwriters and other internal stakeholders to deliver seamless client service
Stay current with market trends product offerings and changes in the agricultural industry
Qualifications
RIBO License (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) Required
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in farm insurance sales or commercial lines with a focus on agri-business
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving new business
In-depth knowledge of farm operations and associated risks
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a consultative sales approach
Comfortable working independently in a field-based role with regional travel
Proficiency in brokerage management systems (EPIC experience is an asset)
A valid drivers license and access to a vehicle
