Indian River Farms in Kensington, PEI, is seeking a Seasonal Farm Equipment Operator to assist with planting, harvesting, spraying, tilling, and related activities. You will operate John Deere and other equipment with GPS guidance and perform basic maintenance.

Candidates with farm machinery experience and a willingness to learn precision agriculture tech are encouraged to apply. The role is full-time seasonal with relocation support and health benefits where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating farm equipment such as tractors, loaders, harvesters, or other agricultural machinery.
• Knowledge of farm operations and crop production practices
• Basic understanding of GPS guidance systems or a willingness to learn precision agriculture technology.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and report equipment issues.
• Ability to perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and extended hours during peak farming seasons.

Position Overview

As a Seasonal Farm Equipment Operator, you will assist with operating modern farm equipment used for planting, harvesting, spraying, tilling, and other agricultural activities.

You will also help perform routine equipment inspections, basic maintenance, and simple troubleshooting to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.

Candidates with experience operating agricultural machinery and working with precision agriculture technology are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
