Job summary

Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre is seeking a Family Resource Worker to coordinate and deliver programs for parents/caregivers and children aged birth to 6 in Kanata, West Carleton and Stittsville. The role includes promoting child development, conducting workshops, and linking families with CRC and community resources.

The position is full-time, 35 hours per week, with a salary range of $49,313 to $51,306 CAD annually. Monday to Friday schedule with two evenings per week is required.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English; ability to communicate clearly with parents and partners.
• Strong interpersonal and outreach skills to engage families and community groups.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and working in diverse communities.
• Ability to work independently in remote locations and in teams.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop playgroups and activities for children birth to 6 years.
• Promote child development and parent/caregiver engagement.
• Coordinate planning, delivery, and evaluation of early learning programs.
• Provide information, referrals, and education to families.
• Collaborate with community groups and partner organizations.
• Report data and maintain records for program funding and evaluation.

Education

Post-secondary diploma in Early Childhood Education

Two years experience in an early learning environment
