Job summary

A leading agency in children's mental health is seeking a Family Preservation Worker for a full-time position in Cochrane and/or Iroquois Falls. The role involves providing intensive interventions to high-risk children and their families facing significant behavioral challenges. Candidates should hold a relevant degree, possess strong clinical skills, and be bilingual in English and French.

Qualifications

Job description

FAMILY PRESERVATION WORKER
Full-time Position in Cochrane and/or Iroquois Falls
(with travel between Cochrane and Iroquois Falls offices as required)

As a member of the Family Preservation team, the successful candidate will work in collaboration with collateral community services providing intensive intervention to high-risk children and their families exhibiting severe behavioural and emotional difficulties. The focus of the intervention will be to provide intensive child behavioural management skills and/or parental training to the identified families.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS):

  • Baccalaureate in Social Work, Psychology or Diploma in Human Services related to behaviour management, child development and a minimum of three years relevant working experience
  • Demonstrated clinical skills for the purpose of assessment and treatment of psychosocial and behavioural problems in children and their families
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours
  • Willing to travel as required
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is required
  • Valid G driver’s license and use of own vehicle
