Health Match BC is recruiting for an urgent primary care clinic in Campbell River. The clinic offers same-day episodic appointments with four exam rooms and extended hours from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Providers work in a collaborative care model with MOAs and nurses in proximity to North Island Hospital. Compensation includes an hourly rate of $198.48 for predominantly in-person service, with no physician overhead.

Role and Facility Information

This clinic is a stabilization service for patients in the Campbell River community and surrounding area and offers same day episodic appointments. The Urgent Primary Care Clinic has four exam rooms and offers extended hours providing opportunities for patient appointments from 8:30 am - 7:30 pm Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and statutory holidays.

Island Health is actively recruiting more providers to offer this important primary care service. This clinic offers flexibility, competitive provider service contracts, a team-base care model and the opportunity to be part of a vital primary care service in the Campbell River community. The clinic is located adjacent to the North Island Hospital - Campbell River; it is staffed with MOAs, nurses and providers working in a collaborative care approach. No overhead contribution by physician to clinic.

Compensation

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including: Retention Premium 6.09% Retention Flat Fee $9,438 Relocation Funding Available $up to $15,000 Recruitment Incentive $prorated $10,000 Other Benefits/Incentives May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), such as:

• Recruitment Incentive (pro-rated) $10,000
• Relocation Costs Reimbursement up to $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from)
• Fee Premium 6.09%
• Annual Flat Fee $9,437.76
• Rural CME: starting at $2,200/annum for years 3 and 4 in the community, increasing to $4,400/annum after 4 years. The above amounts are current as of June 2025 and may be subject to change.
