Job summary

My Family Doctor Clinic in Lethbridge, Alberta, is seeking a Family Medicine physician to provide comprehensive patient care in a community primary care setting. The position is 0.9 FTE with a walk-in clinic option on Friday evenings; compensation is fee-for-service with overhead split per contract.

Clinicians will build and manage a patient panel, participate in CPCN initiatives, and share in an after-hours call schedule.

Qualifications

• CPSA license or license in progress.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Be a participating member of the CPCN and maintain care for a panel of patients.
• Accept and build a panel of patients and coordinate care with other clinicians.
• Participate in current quality improvement (QI) projects within the clinic.
• Shared after-hours call schedule for clinic patients.
• Opportunity to participate in a walk-in clinic on Friday evenings from 3:00 pm–6:00 pm.

Qualifications Required

Candidates MUST have CPSA or demonstrate CPSA license in progress. Candidates without either of these requirements will NOT be considered for this role.

Provide proof of Malpractice insurance from the CMPA. Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Position Description & Responsibilities/Duties

Physicians are expected to be a participating member of the CPCN and are expected to accept and build a panel of patients and maintain care for your paneled patients. Participate in current QI projects within the clinic. Clinic Physicians share an after hours call schedule for clinic patients. Ensuring other medical professionals and facilities are able to consult clinic physicians about clinic patients and on occasion directly speak with patients seeking advice after regular clinic hours. We are currently offering a walk-in clinic Friday evenings from 3:00pm-6:00pm, that the successful candidate is welcome to participate in if they would like.

Physicians will be a part of the My Family Doctor Clinic family, located in a new facility in West Lethbridge.
