Island Health is seeking a dedicated physician to join a modern community clinic on Quadra Island. This full-time or part-time opportunity offers flexible working hours without weekend duties, alongside competitive remuneration that includes recruitment incentives and relocation reimbursements. The new physician will be working in a modern community clinic administered by the Quadra Island Health Society. Working arrangements are very flexible, as the existing physician will be reducing hours and is happy to job share or provide full locum cover and support if anyone wishes to work full time at the office. There are no liabilities or costs involved, as the Health Society is responsible for daily management of staff and premises. Overheads are fixed at around 25%.

Quadra Island, located off the east coast of Vancouver Island in the heart of the Discovery Islands, is surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.
Quadra has a winter population of about 3,000, swelling to nearly 5,000 in summer. The island hosts a vibrant Kwakiutl village of the Cape Mudge People, who make their living from fishing, fish processing, aquaculture, and forestry. Many professionals reside on Quadra Island and commute to Campbell River, a 10-minute ferry ride away. The island features a local school for Kindergarten to Grade 5, excellent daycare and preschool programs, a vibrant arts community, small organic farms, and two vineyards.
Situated in the center of an pristine outdoor recreational area, Quadra Island offers an active ecotourism industry focused on fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking. It is an ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts!
Working hours are from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, three to five days per week, depending on whether working part-time or full-time. No weekends or out-of-hours work are required.
Remuneration details are based on the Local Family Physician (LFP) scale.
