Job summary

Menlo Park Recruitment is assisting an Ottawa-based family medicine group to fill a full-time GP position. The practice has eight doctors, a built-in patient base, and offers a 75% fee split on OHIP billings with earning potential of 350,000–450,000 CAD per year.

You’ll have full control over appointment length from 5 to 20 minutes and a busy schedule including evenings and Saturdays. Visa sponsorship and settling-in support are provided to help you establish in Ottawa.

Job description

This is a rare opportunity to join a practice where the patients are already waiting - the previous practice on site, with around eight doctors, moved out and residents now walk in daily asking for a GP. With a 75% fee split and estimated earning potential of C$350,000-C$450,000+ (approx. £190,000-£245,000) a year, this is a busy, well-rewarded full-time role.

The Practice Physician-led family practice with 12 exam rooms, part of a small Ottawa group with three sister clinics. Built-in patient base left by the previous practice on site, with the clinic ready to advertise actively once new GPs are confirmed.

Full control over appointment length, from 5 to 20 minutes, and a hands-off approach to clinical style.

Broad family medicine, including walk-in and acute care, paediatrics, women's and men's health and chronic disease management.

The group has recently welcomed a UK-trained GP (MRCGP) at one of its sister clinics. Benefits Estimated earning potential of C$350,000-C$450,000+ (approx. £190,000-£245,000) a year, full-time. 75% fee split on OHIP FFS billings, so earnings rise directly with patient volume.

Strong demand from day one, with a minimum of 30 patients a day and scope to go higher. Evening and Saturday sessions already running, giving scope for extra billings.

Location Overview

Manotick is a heritage village of around 7,300 people on the Rideau River, part of the City of Ottawa and 25-30 minutes' drive from downtown. Life here centres on the river, with boating, kayaking and fishing on the doorstep, the riverside Prince of Wales cycling route running around 30 km into Ottawa, and golf and polo clubs locally. The walkable village core, built around the 1860s Watson's Mill, has independent shops and restaurants, the Dickinson Days festival each June and Christmas in the Village every November, with a parade of lights and horse-drawn wagon rides. For families, the larger suburb of Barrhaven is 10 minutes away with major shopping and family housing, and there are public, Catholic and private school options locally.
