Job description

Thompson Rivers University School of Nursing has the following sessional faculty positions available in the Health Care Assistant (HCA) program from May to September 2025.

The successful candidate(s) will teach theory and lab/practice courses within the HCA program, organize activities related to HCA, including attending meetings, liaising with clinical agencies, developing student clinical assignments, and conducting evaluations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Masters degree required; candidates pursuing a Masters may be considered.
• Undergraduate degree must be in nursing.
• Applicants with RN, LPN, BScN, and RPN credentials and applicable experience are encouraged to apply. Non-qualified applicants may be considered if successful.
• Practicing license/membership with BCCNM is required.
• Teaching experience at the program level is preferred; and/or
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Long Term Care, in a nurse/client relationship.
