Job description

This is a full-time position, 35 to 40 hours per week.

Part-time, Casual or Locum opportunities are also available.

Anticipated Start Date : As soon as possible

Salary : Fee for Service (Approximately $260,000 to $460,000 per year)

Location : 320 Yonge Street, Unit #8, Barrie, ON, L4N 4C8

Experience : Minimum one year

Education : Doctor of Medicine

Work Setting : Family Medicine, Walk-in, Pharmacy

License : CCFP / College of Family Physicians Certificate, Licensure by Provincial or Territorial Authorities / Medical Council of Canada

Family physician's primary duties :

1. Examining patients and taking their histories
2. Ordering laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures
3. Consulting with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' health
4. Prescribing and administering medications and treatments
5. Inoculating and vaccinating patients to prevent and treat diseases
6. Advising patients on healthcare
7. Communicating health promotion / disease prevention to patients
8. Providing counseling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues
