Description:

Family Physician required for a 0.5 EFT position in a Fly-In program area. The physician will fly into the community every second week.

Berens River is approximately 270 air kilometers north of Winnipeg, on the east shore of Lake Winnipeg at the mouth of the Berens River.

Total population: 3,244

Physicians depart from Winnipeg via Perimeter Air on Monday mornings to Berens River and return to Winnipeg on Thursday evenings.

Qualifications:

• Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
• Must be a member in good standing with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
• Must have current Advanced Life Support (ACLS).
• If the physician does not have the following certifications, they must obtain them within six months of contract start date:
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Compensation:

Compensation is remunerated as per Doctors Manitoba contract from April 1, 2015, to March 31, 2016.
