Turn-key fully staffed clinic available in Pinawa, Manitoba. Located an hour and fifteen minutes outside Winnipeg, Pinawa is a hub of outdoor recreation and peaceful lake living, right next to Whiteshell Provincial Park. The clinic is within a well-equipped hospital that has 17 beds, with each hospital room featuring large windows overlooking the boreal forest, where wildlife such as deer can be seen.
Pinawa offers a small, attentive school division with a well-developed outdoor education program, including a free forest school for junior kindergarten. A new childcare facility is planned for 2025.
The hospital is transitioning to a more flexible care model, promoting a sustainable work-life balance. The Pinawa Clinic has two contract positions available; fee-for-service work is also an option. The ER operates on shorter shifts from 0800-2000, with opportunities to join call schedules in nearby centres like Pine Falls or Selkirk. There are also opportunities to train as a GP-oncologist with paid education, and to expand into neighboring communities such as Lac du Bonnet and Whitemouth.
The IERHA seeks healthcare providers passionate about longitudinal primary care, supporting a multidisciplinary team including nurses, dieticians, pharmacists, and mental health workers. Physicians will be supported by an experienced team and longstanding family physicians in nearby communities. The clinic supports procedural care such as skin biopsies, casting fractures, IUD insertions, and cryotherapy, with negotiable flat-rate overhead. Physicians can also round on inpatients just steps from the clinic and enjoy leisure activities like swimming at the nearby beach after work.
