Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Family Medicine physician for North Sydney, Nova Scotia. Join a collaborative family practice in Northside General Collaborative to provide comprehensive care alongside physicians, NPs, nurses, social workers, and allied health professionals in a spacious clinic.

This role offers a 1.0 FTE, opportunities for hospital work, procedures, and teaching residents. The clinic is located near Sydney, with access to in-house hospital services and waterfront views.

Qualifications

• Full-time availability (1.0 FTE) in North Sydney.
• Experience in Family Practice or primary care desirable.

Responsibilities

• provide comprehensive, full-scope primary health care to practice patients of all ages and stages of health and illness
• maintain timely and accurate patient records using a provincially approved electronic medical record (EMR)
• participate in quality improvement, practice evaluation, and other activities that support the delivery of safe, effective, patient-centered care
• attend regular physician and team meetings
• partake in continuing medical education (CME) and professional development opportunities
• participate in teaching of medical learners

Join an established collaborative family practice in North Sydney, working alongside physicians, NPs, family practice nurses, social workers, and allied health to provide primary care to the community. Northside General Collaborative offers supportive practice in a spacious and conveniently located clinic with opportunities for hospital work, urgent care, procedures, and teaching residents or medical learners.

Located 20 minutes from Sydney, Northside General Collaborative is conveniently located within the Northside General Hospital, offering a bright and welcoming environment with large windows overlooking the beautiful North Sydney waterfront. The collaborative provides convenient access to a range of in-house hospital services, supporting comprehensive and accessible care for patients in a comfortable setting.

Remuneration

• Longitudinal Family Medicine(LFM) contract approximately$375,000 to $400,000 CAD
