Job description

The Fort St John Family Practice Associates Clinic is seeking a family physician to take over an existing, well-managed family practice in our privately owned medical clinic.

About Our Clinic

We are a youthful, vibrant clinic with 5 practices and 6 staff, housed in a modern, fully furnished, organized, well-established medical office. Each physician has their own office and exam rooms, as well as a shared procedure room. Our team includes an in-house NP, LPNs, a dietician, social worker, mental health clinicians, respiratory therapist, pharmacist, and home care support, all working together to provide team-based care.

Our EMR system is MOIS.

Remuneration

We offer a $50,000 signing bonus to a new physician joining as an Associate and taking over an upcoming vacant practice (minimum 2-year commitment). Associates are paid $240.00/hour for a 7-hour day. The minimum monthly remuneration for regular clinic hours is $20,160 – $26,880. Physicians work 3-4 days a week, with a mix of in-person and virtual patient consultations. An additional 1.5 hours ($360.00) each weekday is paid to compensate for administrative tasks, totaling an extra $7,200.00/month, paid on top of regular hours. Remuneration is TAKE-HOME, with no overhead or expenses deducted.

Associates are paid bi-weekly via direct deposit and receive 8 weeks of vacation annually, plus 2 additional weeks for CME if needed. There are opportunities to earn extra revenue through services outside the clinic, such as ER, OR, Prenatal clinic, etc., which are billed privately and 100% of earnings are retained by the physician.

We operate under an alternate payment model, namely Population-Based Funding. Additional remuneration, including recruiting and relocation funding, may be available. Accommodation and other supports can be arranged through the North Peace Division of Family Practice. Please inquire directly for more information.
