Job description

We are seeking an experienced Law Clerk with a strong background in family law to join our client'sdynamic legal team in Newmarket, Ontario. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to supporting legal professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Completion of a post-secondary Law Clerk program or a combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a law clerk, with a focus on family law
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with legal technology
  • Experience with legal practice management software; Clio experience considered an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently as well as part of a collaborative team
  • Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential information
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Adaptable and eager to embrace new tools and technologies
  • Ability to work in a hybrid office environment
