Job summary

Maleki Liew LLP in Toronto, ON, seeks an experienced Family Law Lawyer/Associate with 3–5 years of family law experience to join our growing practice. This full-time role offers work-from-home arrangements and a manageable caseload.

You will meet with clients, provide legal advice, draft pleadings and agreements, prepare motions and other court materials, conduct legal research, and appear in court or ADR proceedings with senior counsel or independently as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Called to the Bar in Ontario and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
• Preferably 3-5 years of experience practicing in Family Law.
• Strong foundation of Ontario family law legislation, rules, and procedures.
• Familiarity with reviewing and preparing financial documents, including Financial Statements and Net Family Property statements, as required by experience level.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple files and deadlines.
• The use of legal practice management and remote collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

Maleki Liew LLP is seeking an experienced Family Law Lawyer/Associate to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have approximately 3–5 years of Family Law experience.

Role Description

This full-time Family Law Associate role is based in Toronto, ON, with work-from-home arrangements. The associate will manage a caseload of family law matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients, providing legal advice, drafting pleadings and agreements, preparing motions and other court materials, conducting legal research, and appearing in court or alternative dispute resolution processes with senior counsel or independently, depending on the level of experience. The associate will also maintain accurate file documentation, comply with professional and ethical standards, and contribute to firm development initiatives.
