Job summary

Catholic Social Services in Red Deer seeks a Team Leader II to coordinate and implement support services for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will supervise front-line staff, conduct assessments, and liaise with families and service providers to ensure needs are met.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Human Services and relevant experience; a vehicle and Driver’s license may be required for transport. Salary ranges from CAD 51,260 to CAD 57,670 with benefits where eligible.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Services (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with individuals with emotional and behavioral needs.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR is an asset; Driver's Abstract and vehicle insurance/registration may be required.

Responsibilities

Catholic Social Services is currently recruiting for a full-time (40 hours/week) Team Leader II in Red Deer.

Job Summary:

The Team Leader II coordinates and implements support services to individual child clients with developmental disabilities, enabling them to be included in community life and be as independent as possible. This includes conducting initial assessments, service planning, and follow up meetings to verify the needs and requirements of clients and their families are being met. This position connects families to appropriate social service providers as necessary and acts as a point of contact for various support services agencies and as an advocate for the client and/or their family. This role provides day-to-day supervision and support to front-line employees and programs while providing crucial information to the direct supervisor to support the overall success of the Service/Region.

What This Job Requires:
  • Diploma or Degree in Human Services (or equivalent)
  • Minimum2years’ experience working withindividuals with emotional and behavioral needs
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex and high behavioursSupervisory experience is considered an asset
  • Valid First Aid and CPR is considered an asset
  • Child Intervention Record Check
  • Clear and Current Driver's Abstract
  • A vehicle and valid class 5 driver’s license – requirement to transport clients in your personal vehicle
  • Proof of Vehicle Insurance showing $2 million liability coverage
  • Proof of Vehicle Registration for insured vehicle
