Job summary

Medicentres Canada Inc is seeking a physician to join a private practice clinic in an urban area. The role requires licensure to practice medicine and a MD degree. You will collect patient information, examine health conditions, and work with other clinicians to coordinate comprehensive primary care.

The position involves ordering tests, prescribing treatments and providing counselling to patients and families. On-site work only.

Qualifications

• Qualified physician with MD/DO or equivalent professional degree.
• CCFP certification or provincial licensure required.
• Experience in primary care settings is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals.
• Examine patients’ health condition to identify diseases and injuries.
• Help patients develop healthy habits and reshape their wellness approach.
• Order laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures to determine appropriate treatment.
• Consult with other practitioners to evaluate health.
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments.
• Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to authorities.
• Coordinate or manage primary patient care.
• Provide acute care management.
• Counsel and support patients and families on health and lifestyle issues.
