Job summary

RiPa - Private home in Montreal seeks a dependable caregiver/household worker to manage daily tasks in a private residence. You will help with laundry, cleaning, cooking, and household shopping while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.

The role includes supervising and caring for children, organizing activities, and teaching hygiene with patience and reliability. English or French working language and a permanent schedule are expected.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in similar roles.
• Languages: English or French as working language.

Responsibilities

• Launder clothing and household linens.
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Shop for food and household supplies.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Cook.
• Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens.
• Tend to emotional well-being of children.
• Supervise and care for children.
• Organize activities such as games and outings for children.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
• Bathe, dress and feed infants and children.
• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents.
