Introduction

Ness Lakdawala is seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Family Caregiver to provide high-quality care and support to an elderly in Verdun, Quebec. The successful candidate will play an important role in promoting the client’s comfort, dignity, independence, and overall well-being by assisting with daily living activities, personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, and companionship. We are looking for an individual who is reliable, respectful, and committed to creating a safe and supportive home environment while building a positive and trusting relationship with the client and family.

Responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care
• Administer medications as directed
• Assist with bathing and personal hygiene
• Support regular exercise activities, including walking
• Change non-sterile dressings
• Feed or assist with feeding
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care needs

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• 2 years to less than 3 years of related caregiving experience
• Ability to communicate in English or French
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Reliable, organized, and client-focused
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• On-site position in the employer’s home
• Optional live-in accommodation available at no charge (not a condition of employment)
• Physically demanding role involving sitting, standing, walking, and repetitive tasks
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, mornings, and daytime hours
