Position: Family Assistant, Full Time, Live In, Live Out, Nanny

Location: Hamptons, Manhattan, New York

A family of five on the Upper East Side needs to hire a live-out or live-in Nanny/Family Assistant to help care for their three school-age children. Responsibilities include:

• School pick up
• Managing the children’s schedules
• Coordinating & chaperoning the children to/from activities
• Creating fun developmental games & activities
• Homework help
• Preparing dinner
• Assisting with the bedtime routine
• Child-related housekeeping & laundry
• Seasonal closet organization
• Helping to keep the home tidy
• Household organization
• Shopping
• Tracking inventory
• Supervising vendors
• Running errands

Candidates must drive and swim and keep up with active children. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 11am to 6pm, though the family will guarantee base pay for a 40-hour workweek. Flexibility for longer days is required if children are home from school, including summers & travel. The family can accommodate live-in or live-out candidates and can provide 7-day accommodations - private bed and bath. Ideally seeking an early September start to have some overlap with the current nanny, who is leaving to start a family. Salary: $35/hr.
