Our client is looking for a Family Assistant to join a team of household professionals. The objective of the role is to support a stay-at-home mother in caring for her 9-month-old son and to help keep the household organized. The ideal candidate is nurturing, responsible, and has extensive experience with infants. This position requires flexibility and availability to travel with the family between Montreal, Miami, and Tel Aviv frequently.

Suitable candidates must hold a valid passport (or be able to obtain one) and can travel freely. Mandatory workdays include Saturday, Sunday, and Monday; other workdays are flexible. The family also has two small dogs, so the Family Assistant must be comfortable with pet care, including feeding. Cooking for the family and the infant is a key part of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full-time care for the infant, including feeding, diaper changes, naps, and developmental activities.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and loving environment for the child.
  • Follow a structured routine while remaining adaptable to the family’s needs.
  • Engage in age-appropriate educational activities to support the child’s cognitive and physical development.
  • Accompany the family on domestic and international travel.
  • Maintain open communication with the parents and provide regular updates.
  • Assist with occasional evening babysitting as needed.
  • Care for two small dogs, including feeding and basic pet care.
  • Prepare daily meals and snacks for the family.
  • Plan weekly menus and grocery lists.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, pantry items, and groceries, and notify when items need replenishing.
  • Discard expired food items and supplements to maintain freshness and safety.
  • Keep living spaces organized and clutter-free while maintaining hygiene standards.
  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of assigned areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, kitchens, and common spaces.
  • Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors to ensure a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Change bed linens and towels and replenish amenities as needed.
  • Handle all laundry tasks, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing.
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces, fixtures, and appliances to maintain a germ-free environment.
  • Conduct seasonal deep cleaning and assist with closet organization and maintenance.

Requirements And Qualifications

  • Proven experience caring for infants.
  • Strong cooking skills, with the ability to prepare healthy meals for both the baby and the family.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work independently to maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Comfortable caring for small dogs.
  • Certification in infant CPR and first aid (or willingness to obtain).
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and discreet, with a calm and patient demeanor.
  • Proactive, organized, and adaptable to the family’s lifestyle.

Additional Information

  • Schedule : 5 days a week, 9 a.m to 5 p.m. (flexibility required).
