Family Advocate

The Family Advocate (FA) will work under the direct supervision of the Obishikokaang Sagatay Gamik Director. The role of the FA is to provide advocacy and support to families at all levels of the child welfare system. The FA will assist in the development of an effective prevention and intervention strategy based on the values of the community to ensure our children remain with their immediate family or within the community.

The FA will work in collaboration with all Child Welfare Agencies across Canada to protect the family unit. The FA will be an active participant at any and every case conference concerning all Lac Seul band members across Canada.
