Overview

TYSONS, VA (LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED) - A loving and dynamic Christian family is seeking a nurturing and adaptable part-time NANNY/HOUSEHOLD MANAGER to care for their outgoing and strong-willed 18-month-old daughter. This role is ideal for someone who is warm, collaborative, and experienced with toddlers, and who thrives in a team environment. The family already has a part-time nanny in place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and they are looking for a candidate who can seamlessly integrate with their existing care structure. The ideal schedule would be Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with some flexibility for weekend support, extended evenings, or occasional overnights as needed. The family is open to this role growing into something more long-term with additional hours.

In addition to caring for their daughter—who enjoys swimming, playdates, and will soon be enrolled in music classes—the nanny should be comfortable handling light house management related to the child, such as tidying, organizing spaces, laundry, and meal preparation. The family highly values discretion and a strong moral compass, and would love to find someone who is willing to pitch in where needed and support the home overall. Ideal candidates will be fully vaccinated (including Covid and Flu), able to swim, and happy to help run occasional errands or cook simple meals for both the child and the family. A candidate who is easygoing, values communication, and is committed to fostering a warm and respectful environment will be a perfect match for this household.

This is a live-out, payroll position offering $25–$30/hour, mileage reimbursement for use of a personal vehicle, and potential negotiable relocation assistance for the perfect candidate. The family provides 14 total PTO days, inclusive of sick days and inclement weather. They are looking for someone who can grow with them as they hope to expand their family in the near future. Candidates must be comfortable signing an NDA.

Qualifications
  • BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5+ YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE
  • UP-TO-DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)
  • THE ABILITY TO MAKE A ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT UNLESS APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION
  • A PASSION FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN
  • 5+ YEARS OF CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE IN ANY FIELD
  • EXCELLENT WORK AND PERSONAL REFERENCES
  • U.S. DRIVER’S LICENSE (THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO NYC RESIDENTS)
