Job Description:

We’re looking for Finance Analyst Co-ops to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and partnering with various business areas to support accounting and reporting functions like budgeting and forecasting. You’ll have the chance to build meaningful relationships, contribute to process improvement projects, and assist in presenting insights to management to support strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Do:
  • Learn about and contribute to TJX Canada’s Finance functions, including analysis of financial data and partnering with business areas to support accounting/reporting functions such as budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Establish positive relationships with business partners and support improvement and analysis projects.
  • Assist in preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports.
  • Partner with stakeholders to assist in financial analysis and present recommendations to management on an ad-hoc basis to aid decision-making.
  • Support month-end and year-end accounting duties, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and schedules in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
About You:
  • Pursuing post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Mathematics.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team or business partnering environment.
