At Springboard Clinic, we are making an impactful difference in the lives of individuals of all ages living with mental health, learning and attention challenges through our services. We are an innovative mental health clinic with a vision to transform the world’s acceptance of diverse ways of thinking and ensure everyone with ADHD has a chance to become the best they can be.

As a close-knit group of clinicians and administrators, we share a strengths-based philosophy of care that extends to both our clients and our internal community. At Springboard fostering connections within our team is important to our culture - you can join social events, committees, monthly All Hands, and group supervision meetings to feel connected to your teammates.

About the Role

As a Springboard Psychotherapist, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Psychotherapist or registered Social Worker and within a multidisciplinary team. Your work responsibilities will include collaborating with clients in designing treatment plans that target ADHD (and/or ADHD and ASD) symptom management strategies, increasing awareness of their strengths and values as well as supporting their individual mental health needs. Our clinicians utilize a variety of treatment intervention modalities to empower clients of all ages, while keeping in mind the day-to-day presence of ADHD symptoms.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychotherapy services to primarily male-identifying clients of all ages, based on client case conceptualization and needs.
  • Develop treatment goals and plans in collaboration with clients, as discussed with the clinical supervisor.
  • Contact and schedule recommended clients from the Clinic's Master Treatment list to maintain caseload responsibilities.
  • Carry a caseload of 4 client hours per day, including scheduling future sessions with clients once clients have been placed on the calendar.
  • Maintain up-to-date clinical session notes, engage in professionally appropriate client communications, provide client letters, and complete client forms as necessary.
  • Communicate with relevant third parties as needed (e.g. parents, schools, other treatment providers).
  • Adhere to PHIPA guidelines and maintain client confidentiality, as well as follow the Clinic's procedures.
  • Participate in clinical consultation with peers as needed, monthly peer group supervision, and bi-weekly individual supervision.

Required Skills

  • Masters degree in psychology, psychotherapy, social work, or a related mental health field is required.
  • Experience and expertise in providing psychotherapy services to male-identifying clients is a must.
  • A successful candidate is a fully registered member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO, no longer qualifying) or the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), a regulatory body identified as able to deliver psychotherapy services in Ontario.
  • 3-5 years of clinical/treatment experience working with individuals of all ages with a wide range of clinical presentations. Experience working with ADHD clients is an asset.
  • A positive, non-judgmental and progressive workplace attitude is essential.
