Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines is seeking a Mine Engineering Co-op Student for Fall 2025 at their Meadowbank Complex. This internship provides a unique opportunity to work under the guidance of a Production Engineering Coordinator, focusing on QA/QC duties for drill and blast operations. The ideal candidate will be enrolled in a relevant academic program and will gain valuable field experience while contributing to the company's commitment to safety and sustainability.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Production Engineering Coordinator, the intern will:

  • Ensure goals are met while promoting our culture, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Perform QA/QC duties for Drill and Blast, including:
  • Field QA/QC on drill and blast patterns
  • Data collection and compilation
  • Communication of QA/QC data to the engineering team
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or technical program in mining engineering or a related field.
  • Enrolled in your university’s formal Co-op program.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong work ethic and adaptability.
  • High energy, self-motivation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including presentation skills.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with standards.

Note: The official language at Meadowbank Complex is English.

Your Work Schedule:
  • 14 days on, followed by 14 days off for transportation and rest.
  • On-site accommodations and meals are provided at no cost. We cover travel expenses within Canada.
