YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

As an Intern reporting to the Senior Metallurgist, you'll join the Process Plant Department and collaborate with other departments. Your role will involve achieving goals while respecting our culture, safety, and environmental values.

  • Responsible for the Metallurgy laboratory daily routines;
  • Perform and prepare sampling campaigns for analysis;
  • Inspect and monitor process samplers;
  • Analyze metallurgy data to create models and optimize processes;
  • Conduct surveys of crushing, grinding, and CIL/stripping circuits for KPI validation;
  • Validate measurement equipment, perform maintenance, and fill work orders;
  • Improve existing procedures;
  • Apply best metallurgy practices;
  • Perform other duties as required by the Supervisor.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Enrolled in a degree program in Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or related field;
  • Must be enrolled in your university’s formal Co-op program;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong work ethic and adaptability;
  • High energy, self-motivation, and organizational skills;
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills;
  • Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Note: The official working language at Meliadine is English.

Your Work Schedule:
  • 14 days of work, followed by 14 days off for transportation and rest;
  • Accommodations and meals are provided on-site at no cost; charter flights are provided, and travel expenses are covered based on your residence in Canada.
