YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Senior Exploration Geologist, the Geology Intern is part of the Geology Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Drill, blast and excavation monitoring in regard to the mine geology grade control standards;
  • Any other tasks that the senior grade control and/or production geologist might identify.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Student must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or technical program in any kind of Geosciences, Geological Engineering or related fields;
  • Students must be enrolled in a formal Co-op program.
  • A strong ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as a member of a team is required.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to handle change.
  • Demonstrate a high level of energy, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills including verbal and written as well as presentation skills required.
  • Promote a safety mindset and approach to ensure that all projects and activities carried out comply with safety regulations and AEM standards.

Your Work Schedule:

  • Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
