SUMMARY

As an intern, you will help develop our industry-leading simulation software while gaining real experience in your field of study. You will work on impactful projects to help maintain, advance, and accelerate ANSYS products.

This is a 40-hour per week paid position that will start in August 2025 and conclude in December 2025. It is a fully remote opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES
− Build tools that automate software development/testing infrastructure processes.
− Advance software robustness by testing and verifying defect fixes.
− Conduct interactive and automated testing of user interfaces and simulation results.
− Learn and employ the best software practices including design and code review.
− Experience advanced source code management, full life-cycle-software development.
− Attend meetings, progress reviews and gain real-life experience as an advanced coder.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
− Pursuing a BS or MS degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, numerical methods, circuit simulation, device modeling or related technical degree.
− Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program in Canada.
− Good programming skills in Python or C++.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
− Candidates with high levels of motivation in coding, who participate in programming competitions or maintain/publish code on GitHub.
− Familiarity with OpenGL concepts, rendering, scene visualization, triangulation of geometries.
− Familiarity with Finite element mesh generation is a plus.
− Knowledge of scripting and shells like csh, bash, VS-Code.
− Prior experience using ANSYS products or other engineering software is a plus.
