Position Description:

CGI offers a co-op opportunity working with our Senior Program Leadership, Quality Assurance Team, and project managers. The role involves assisting with essential tasks, learning testing processes, management tools, and working within a complex business banking system. The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, with a requirement for in-office presence multiple times a week to foster teamwork.

Your Future Duties and Responsibilities:

• Document defects and support defect resolution
• Create reports and dashboards for testing metrics
• Collaborate with various teams to explain testing data and processes
• Understand client requirements and system specs
• Develop Java web applications and components
• Prepare technical and functional documentation
• Conduct rigorous testing to ensure quality
• Review peer code and suggest improvements
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge library
• Deploy code and automate scripts as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a Co-op accredited program
• Studying Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience with object-oriented design, Java/JEE, Spring, JavaScript or Angular
• Knowledge of database design, SQL, stored procedures (PL/SQL, TSQL)
• Familiarity with Eclipse IDE
• Strong desire to learn new technologies
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work independently or in a team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
