Job Description:

What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Director Food & Beverage, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

1. Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
2. Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
3. Recruit, train, manage, mentor, lead and develop your supervisors and colleagues
4. Effective performance management through focus on colleague development training, problem resolution, maintain up-to-date records on performance and audits, attendance, grooming, service deficiencies, schedules, labour costs/payroll, and late/absenteeism
5. Working closely with Food and Beverage Trainer/Recruiter to ensure all Standards manuals are present and up-to-date, job task checklist are completed, and all the Standard Operating procedures are taught and followed
6. Supervise and support employees while ensuring service standards are maintained
7. Maintain a first class and positive visual impact including; ambiance, cleanliness, orderliness, décor and service flows
8. Exhibits an entrepreneurial attitude towards the restaurant’s operation
9. Constantly seek out creative ways to improve departmental profit by increased capture of covers, average check growth through up selling, and performance management and being able to take risks
10. Responsible for scheduling and daily payroll reporting
11. Ensure constant focus on the venue's goal
12. Assist to ensure the venue is managing within set budget guidelines
13. Ensure cleanliness and safety of the venue
14. Act as a liaison between venue staff and other departments
15. Ensure department holds regular communication meetings
16. Perform line duties as required
17. Working in a very fast pace environment
18. Actively participate in ongoing learning opportunities and enhancing your skills, abilities and professionalism for personal growth.
19. Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
20. Follow all safety and sanitation policies
21. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Your experience and skills include:

1. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Leader in a fast paced high end restaurant required
2. Excellent beverage and wine knowledge is required
3. Previous point of sale system experience required
4. Experience with Unionized environment an asset
5. Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
6. University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
7. Excellent communication and organizational skills
8. Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
9. Highly responsible & reliable
10. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
11. Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
12. Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
