Job description

Are you ready to take guest service to the next level? At Fairmont Banff Springs, we're seeking a dedicated Fairmont Gold Supervisor & VIP Concierge to join our elite team. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring our guests experience exceptional service and unforgettable stays in our luxurious hotel within a hotel.

Successful applicants will be matched to available positions based on previous relevant work experience.

Starting Rate :

Fairmont Gold Supervisor - $24.26 per hour

VIP Concierge - $25.28 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months and yearly to three years.

Job Duties Include :

  • Provide excellence in guest service and act as liaison between the hotel and our guests, always responding to guest requests and concerns in a personal, prompt, and courteous manner with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to provide warm, anticipated service to exceed the needs and expectations of our discerning guests by providing a personalized, curated guest experience.
  • Perform all front desk duties including but not limited to accurately posting charges, assisting with check-in/check-out procedures, auditing, and reporting.
  • Review all Fairmont Gold reservations to ensure accuracy and standards are met.
  • Provide exceptional concierge information about local attractions, restaurants, theatres, events, tickets, and other services/excursions.
  • Coordinate the arrival and departure experiences of guests, including VIPs, for seamless service.
  • Maintain food and beverage standards daily and assist Lounge Attendants when needed.
  • Coordinate all phases of the guest’s stay, from pre-arrival to post-departure, ensuring high service levels.
  • Assist VIP and high-profile guests with activity itineraries and ground transportation when applicable.
  • Empower colleagues to address guest service challenges, track, and follow up on issues for service recovery.
  • Provide courteous, professional service at all times, utilizing our Concierge Service Essentials to create memorable moments.
  • Assist guests with reservations and arrangements for dining, tours, etc.
  • Provide accurate information on tourist sites and activities, being well-versed in policies and procedures.
  • Log reservations, create confirmations and itineraries, and be familiar with the ALICE application.

Qualifications :

Your Skills & Qualifications :

  • Minimum 1 year of previous Front Desk supervisory experience in a large hotel preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of Micros, Opera, PROPERTY Manager, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Experience in guest recovery and Royal Service preferred.
  • Graduate of Hotel Management or Hospitality program is an asset.
  • At least 2 years of hotel experience in Front Office, Guest Services, Concierge, or Royal Service.
  • Les Clefs d'Or membership or working towards it is an asset.
  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset.
  • Food & Beverage experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of local attractions and tourist activities in Banff.
  • Clean driving record and Class 5 license.
