The University of Victoria seeks highly qualified candidates for the role of Program Director for the Academic and Technical Writing Program. The successful candidate will hold a PhD and have experience in writing program administration and teaching with specific focus areas as described. The Academic and Technical Writing Program (ATWP) at the University of Victoria invites applications for the position of Associate Professor with tenure or Professor with tenure, and Director of the Academic and Technical Writing Program. Rank and status of the appointment will be determined in accordance with the Unit Standard of the Program andthe provisions of the Collective Agreement. The effective date of the appointment is1 July 2026.
The candidate's qualifications, experience and overall market demand will determine a candidate’s final salary offer. The salary for this position includes a competitive salary range of $130,000 - $160,000. UVic is committed to offering an equitable and competitive salary, inclusive of a generous benefits package, eligible leaves and pension plan.
Duties include research, teaching, and service, as well as administrative service as the Director of the Program for a 5-year termstarting 1 July 2026.
