The British Columbia Institute of Technology seeks a temporary, full-time Faculty member in the School of Business and Media specializing in marketing management. The position demands an industry expert with experience in executing marketing strategies and a passion for teaching, aimed at developing the next generation of marketers. The faculty member will engage with students in person at the Burnaby campus and contribute to the educational mission through innovative teaching methods.

Position Summary
BCIT’s School of Business and Media is seeking a temporary, full-time (1.0 FTE ) Facultyfrom September 2025 to late December 2025 to teach in the marketing management diploma and provide related service teaching to other diplomas in the School in the area of marketing essentials. Courses are taught on weekdays, between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, in person and on campus in Burnaby.
Courses may include: MKTG 1102 – Essentials of Marketing
Duties & Responsibilities
The hiring committee is seeking an industry expert with a passion for teaching and learning and strong commitment to ensuring students develop applied skills and specialized knowledge. Applicants should have 8+ years of experience in marketing roles including: developing and executing marketing strategies to promote products or services; customer growth and retention; analyzing and responding to market trends and intelligence; and collaborating with other departments to achieve business goals.
The right candidate will demonstrate strong self-direction and leadership, the ability to adapt to new working environments quickly and self-sufficiently, and a commitment to the next generation of marketers (as evidenced by mentoring or similar experience). They will also have experience in coaching, teaching, or managing teams on projects related to marketing strategy development and execution.

Salary Range
Salary Range Salary Range: $65,045 - $113,545 per annum.
Additional Salary Information
Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. Salary based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement.
