Factory Maintenance Mechanic Helper

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Work site environment: Outdoors, Confined spaces, Noisy, Dusty, Hot, Odours, Wet/damp.

Work setting: Willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Move tools, equipment and other materials.
• Help tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed.
• Clean machines and immediate work areas.
• Maintain inventory of stored material.
• Load and unload goods.
• Inspect to ensure that safe working conditions are maintained.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work.
• Assist trucks and delivery drivers to load and unload vehicles.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Physically demanding.
• Manual dexterity.
• Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
• Bending, crouching, kneeling.
• Handling heavy loads.
• Large workload.
• Work under pressure.

Weight Handling

• Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
