Job summary

A leading risk management company is actively hiring Factory Labourers for a Forming Operator position in Kitchener. This temporary role offers $30 per hour with 12-hour shifts. Job description

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring Factory Labourers for a Forming Operator position for upcoming work in Southwestern Ontario. This position requires working 12-hour shifts, 7 days per week when assigned to a project. Full training is provided.

Please note that this is a temporary contract involving 84 hours of work per week when deployed to a project. It may not be suitable for someone who is currently working full-time, in school, or seeking guaranteed steady work.

Compensation and Benefits:

• 30.00 per hour before overtime
• Contract duration: 1-120 days
• Hotel accommodation provided (when required)
• 30 per diem (when lodging required)
• Travel up to 4 hours (when lodging required)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work autonomously or in a team environment
• Multi-task and perform various manufacturing tasks
• Operate Measurex & Cognex testing equipment
• Mix binder and troubleshoot related issues
• Interpret SPC rules on mean charts and apply corrective actions
• Packaging and quality checks for each order
• Manage packaging setup, quality testing, and labelling using a DSL system
• Perform startup and shutdown of packaging equipment
• Maintain quality and proper product identification and weight
• Operate forklift and related machinery
• Work with Wet Chop Machines
• Ensure machinery safety and compliance with regulations
• General cleaning of plant and equipment
• Assist with troubleshooting reliability issues
• Perform other related duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
• Valid forklift license (preferred)
• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
• Basic mechanical knowledge
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Strong interpersonal, technical, and communication skills
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• Availability for 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
• Dayshift (7 a.m. - 7 p.m.) or Nightshift (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) availability
