Job summary

Edvan Custom Metal Processing Ltd in Nisku, AB is seeking a Factory helper to join our team. The role is permanent full‑time with day and morning shifts, offering $18.00 to $22.00 hourly (to be negotiated) and 40–50 hours per week.

Responsibilities include transporting materials, weighing items, packing, assisting operators, and maintaining clean work areas in a noisy, dusty warehouse environment. English fluency and a high school diploma are required, with forklift and WHMIS certifications

Qualifications

• 1–7 months of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment around the plant manually or with powered equipment.
• Check and weigh materials and products.
• Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products.
• Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers.
• Perform other labouring and elemental tasks.
• Clean machines and surrounding work areas.

• The candidate will be required to transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant either manually or using powered equipment.
• The candidate must check and weigh materials and products.
• The candidate must sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products.
• The candidate must assist machine operators, assemblers, and other workers.
• The candidate will be required to perform other labouring and elemental activities.
• The candidate will be expected to clean machines and surrounding work areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• The candidate should have minimum qualification of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must have Forklift Operator Certification as well as a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
• The candidate must be able to lift weights of up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
• The candidate must be punctual.
• The candidate should be dependable.
• The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
