Job summary

Generations Cleaning is seeking a Factory Cleaner for a candy manufacturing facility in Vaughan. You will keep production areas and common spaces clean and sanitary, ensuring safety and hygiene throughout the site.

The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a structured shift. This is a full-time, permanent position with a consistent Mon-Fri schedule and hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial, industrial, or factory cleaning is an asset.
• Experience in a food manufacturing facility is an asset.
• Able to perform physically demanding cleaning tasks (standing, walking, bending, lifting).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Reliable, punctual and consistent in schedule adherence.
• Ability to follow cleaning instructions and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and thoroughly clean factory and production floors.
• Clean and sanitize factory equipment and surrounding surfaces per site procedures.
• Wipe down and disinfect work surfaces, counters, and high-touch areas.
• Clean and sanitize washrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
• Maintain cleanliness of employee lunchrooms, breakrooms, and common areas.
• Empty garbage and recycling bins and replace liners.
• Remove dust, debris, and buildup throughout designated factory areas.
• Follow proper cleaning procedures and food safety protocols.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Complete assigned daily cleaning duties efficiently and thoroughly.
• Report maintenance, safety, or sanitation concerns to management.
