Job Title: Facilities Integrity Engineer-in-Training (Temporary Contract)

Job Overview:

Kingston Midstream is seeking a Facilities Integrity EIT to join our collaborative team of Integrity professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining facilities integrity management programs, including planning, scheduling, inspections, repairs, and alterations.

Position Responsibilities

  1. Plan and scope activities related to facilities integrity management, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
  2. Ensure integrity management plans are included in the annual budget and long-term plans, applying cost-benefit analysis and fit-for-purpose principles.
  3. Develop, implement, and improve integrity management programs, including procedures, standards, and instructions, in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  4. Provide technical direction and oversight to project teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  5. Offer technical support, expertise, and analysis for operational, capital projects, and regulatory requests.
  6. Assist in designing and implementing the Risk-Based Integrity Management Program (RBIM) to prioritize maintenance and inspection activities.
  7. Participate in or lead investigations and follow-up activities related to incidents or loss of containment events.

This position is primarily office-based (75%), with regular travel to field sites in northern Alberta, southeast Saskatchewan, and southwest Manitoba.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Engineering Degree and eligibility for registration as an Engineer-in-Training under APEGS, APEGM, or APEGA.
  2. 2-4 years of progressive engineering experience related to facility integrity and operations.
  3. Experience with design, construction, and maintenance of storage tanks, pressure equipment, and piping is an asset.
  4. Knowledge of API standards (API 510, API 570, API 653) and relevant certifications are assets.
  5. Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.

Kingston Midstream offers flexible work arrangements, allowing remote work on Mondays and Fridays, with in-office work from Tuesday to Thursday.
