Job summary

The Government of Saskatchewan invites applications for the Facility Youth Worker position at the Paul Dojack Facility. Position: Facility Youth Worker

Join our team at Paul Dojack Facility! As a Facility Youth Worker, you will work directly with youth offenders aged 12 to 17, supporting positive change and maintaining a safe, secure environment.

Requirements include:

  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system
  • Understanding of human behavior to support positive change
  • Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent
  • Valid First Aid and CPR/AED certificates with at least 12 months before expiration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and supportively within a team
  • Inclusive, non-judgmental, and culturally responsive approach
  • Adaptability and resilience in changing or stressful situations
  • Proficiency with computer systems and software

Typically, candidates should have a High School diploma and/or experience or education in social sciences, correctional services, or a related field. The COPAT requirement has been replaced by a comprehensive medical evaluation by a licensed medical practitioner.

If offered employment, you will be enrolled in an 11-week paid Induction Training Program (ITP), starting on September 22, 2025.
