Eagle Builders in Blackfalds, AB is seeking a Facility Welder-Fabricator to join our maintenance team and support a busy precast concrete facility. You will perform welding, fabrication and repair tasks, read drawings, maintain equipment, and work with a collaborative team to keep operations safe and efficient.

You will contribute to quality workmanship while following safety protocols and supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Seasoned welder with 3rd/4th/yr apprenticeship or Journeyman status in welding.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, specifications and schematics.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and timely repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, fabrication and repair tasks to support plant operations.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, diagrams and schematics.
• Operate welding tools and facility equipment safely and efficiently.
• Carry out A-frame repairs, deck chamfer repairs, hard surfacing and plate modifications.
• Maintain welding equipment; keep shop clean and organized.

• Troubleshoot issues with maintenance leadership and complete repairs.

Facility Welder-Fabricator

Full-time | Year-Round | Blackfalds, AB

Position Summary

As a Facility Welder-Fabricator at Eagle Builders, you'll perform a variety of welding, fabrication and repair work that supports the maintenance and operation of equipment in our precast concrete manufacturing facility. This hands-on role requires sound trade knowledge, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to quality and safety.

What You'll Do

• Complete a variety of welding, fabrication, and repair tasks to support plant operations
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, diagrams, and schematics
• Operate welding tools and facility equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform A-frame repairs, deck chamfer repairs, hard surfacing, weld plate modifications, and general fabrication
• Maintain welding equipment and keep the shop clean, organized and ready for work
• Collaborate effectively with maintenance, production, and other team members
• Plan, organize, and prioritize work to support efficient plant operations
• Work closely with maintenance leadership to troubleshoot issues and complete repairs

Requirements

• Successful interview candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment assessment
• Valid Class 5 license and reliable transportation
• 3rd/4th Year Registered Apprentice Welder or Journeyman Welder
• Previous welding, fabrication, or related hands-on experience
• Ability to perform accurate welding and fabrication work in a fast-paced facility
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams and schematics
• Available to work 10-12 hours/day Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays
• Physically able to perform demanding work for extended periods
• Comfortable working around active manufacturing equipment and production areas
• Able to work safely in a facility environment
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)

Assets

• Manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience
• CWB welding certification
• Experience with equipment repair or hard surfacing
