The Ministry of SaskBuilds & Procurement, Property Management Branch, is seeking a full-time Facility Service Worker to join our service team.

Under the direction of the Building Operator, you will be responsible for:

- Providing the day-to-day maintenance of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems;
- Maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule on mechanical equipment;
- Performing daily cleaning and minor maintenance in the building;
- Ensuring that the sidewalks, roadways and parking lots are clear of ice and snow during the winter months to ensure the safety of clients and the public;
- Performing assigned client and maintenance request;
- Assisting co-workers with various maintenance repairs;
- Ensuring visual life safety equipment is in good operating readiness;
- Reporting to facility operator/co-workers any maintenance issues and client concerns; and
- Maintaining maintenance records in maintenance management software.

To qualify for this position, you must possess a valid 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate, and Refrigeration Engineer Certificate. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of building operations and maintenance. You will also have the ability to perform minor building repairs and maintenance, as well as inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair problems to restore operation.

To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will:

- Have a working-level knowledge of building maintenance, repairs, and operations;
- Be thorough, conscientious, and attentive to detail to ensure quality work;
- Be able and willing to work in physically demanding conditions and perform physical labor, heavy lifting and climbing;
- Be available to work on a scheduled rotational on call list for afterhours and weekend service to the facility; and
- Possess a valid driver's license.
