Job summary

GardaWorld in Regina is seeking a Facility Security Guard to protect client assets and maintain safety across a high-profile industrial site. The role runs Mon to Fri 07:00–15:00 with an hourly wage of $17.52 and comprehensive benefits, plus training at GardaWorld Academy.

You will welcome visitors, control access, patrol interiors/exteriors, monitor CCTV, document incidents, and coordinate with emergency responders, all while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada.
• First aid certification an asset.
• Proficient with phone and computer basics.
• Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license (last 12 months).
• Clear driving record (past 12 months).
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience as a security guard on high-profile sites is an asset.
• Leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment.
• Ability to pass client-required drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist visitors, verify identification, issue and provide clear guidance while maintaining excellent customer service both in person and over the phone.
• Control access at entry and exit points using electronic systems or physical checks to ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of stairwells, hallways, and common areas to establish presence, identify risks, and maintain order.
• Monitor and document all security systems and CCTV for suspicious activity or operational issues, escalating concerns when needed.
• Inspect and report maintenance needs related to security equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Respond promptly to incidents or complaints, provide first aid when required, and coordinate effectively with emergency responders.
• Secure identified doors, ensure proper locking procedures, and enforce property regulations and city by‑laws at all times.
• Protect client assets against theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other safety concerns by remaining alert and proactive.
• Document all activities, including incident reports, maintenance logs, and daily reports, ensuring accuracy and timely communication of concerns.
• Foster positive staff relationships and act as the first point of contact during emergencies to ensure a coordinated and professional response
