Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Power Facility Security Guard in Regina, Saskatchewan. You will handle desk duties, schedule patrolling, and provide customer service across shifts in a high-profile industrial environment.

Responsibilities include visitor management, access control, CCTV monitoring, incident response, and reporting. Must have Canadian work authorization, valid driver's license, and strong communication skills. Training and career growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada.
• First aid certification is an asset.
• Proficient in basic phone and computer skills.
• Valid Provincial Class 5 Advanced driver’s license.
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience as a security guard on a high-profile site is an asset.
• Leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment.
• Ability to pass and maintain client-required drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist visitors, verify identification, issue and provide clear guidance while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Control access at entry/exit points using electronic systems or physical checks to ensure only authorized individuals enter.
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of stairwells, hallways, and common areas to establish presence and identify risks.
• Monitor and document security systems and CCTV for suspicious activity; escalate as needed.
• Inspect and report maintenance needs related to security equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Respond promptly to incidents or complaints; provide first aid when required; coordinate with emergency responders.
• Secure identified doors and enforce property regulations and city by-laws at all times.
• Protect client assets from theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other safety concerns.
• Document all activities, including incident reports and daily logs, ensuring timely communication of concerns.
• Foster positive staff relationships and act as first contact during emergencies.

Responsibilities for Power Facility Security Guard

• Welcome and assist visitors, verify identification,issue and provide clear guidance while maintaining excellent customer service both in person and over the phone.
• Control access at entry and exit pointsusing electronic systems or physical checks to ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrolsof stairwells, hallways, and common areas to establish presence, identify risks, and maintain order.
• Monitor and document all security systems and CCTVfor suspicious activity or operational issues, escalating concerns when needed.
• Inspect and report maintenance needsrelatedto security equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Respond promptly to incidents or complaints, provide first aid when required, and coordinate effectively with emergency responders.
• Secure identified doors, ensure proper locking procedures, and enforce property regulations and city by-laws at all times.
• Protect client assetsagainst theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other safety concerns by remaining alert and proactive.
• Document all activities, including incident reports, maintenance logs, and daily reports, ensuring accuracy and timely communication of concerns.
