The City of Red Deer is currently recruiting a Facility Operations Worker 1. This position provides a clean, safe, secure, and efficiently operating environment for users of recreation facilities, with a strong focus on delivering high‑quality customer service. The role includes completing assigned work tasks, supervising users in designated facilities, and performing minor maintenance and repairs to equipment and facilities in accordance with established standards.
Grade 12 high school diploma or equivalent.
Six months related experience in a similar public facility with related building maintenance components, preferably in a recreation environment.
Certification in Intermediate First aid.
Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license required.
Completion of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check (completed by The City upon employment)
Able to work weekends, weekdays, evenings and shift work hours. Able to quickly respond to emergency and security situations and address maintenance and staff problems.

$33.58 to $35.35 per hour
80 hours biweekly as scheduled. Shifts scheduled for days, evenings, weekends and shift work to meet the needs of the facility.
