Facility Operations Manager

Advance your career in your own backyard. You’ll lead the kind of hands-on work that feeds your community and the world. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and profitable management of grain operations in the facility, including receiving, grading, cleaning, drying, storing and shipping of grain and grain by-products.

What you’ll do

• Oversee grain receiving and shipping operations to maximize throughput, minimize delays, and meet deadlines
• Coordinate with marketing and logistics to align grain availability, shipping needs, and space management
• Optimize by-product production and maintain stock levels to meet sales commitments
• Assist in budget creation and capital planning, monitor financial performance, and recommend improvements
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with safety and food safety standards
• Lead staffing decisions including hiring, training, performance management, and discipline
• Direct grain cleaning and quality control operations to meet export standards and prevent deterioration
• Manage outbound logistics to maximize financial returns on cleaned grain shipments
• Ensure operational compliance with legislation, regulations, and standards through effective policies and staff scheduling

What you bring to our team

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in management, agri-business, or related customer service roles
• Post-secondary degree in Agriculture or Business Administration
• Expertise in grain grading, cleaning, and handling
• Strong understanding of the grain industry, including regulations and policies
• Comfortable with high-impact decision-making role affecting operations, finances, and company reputation
