Facility Operations Manager Needed for Dexterra

1 Vacancy Location: 9808 12 Avenue SW Edmonton, AB T6X 0J5 Canada

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Direct and control the operations of commercial facilities.
  2. Evaluate the operations of facilities and the included real estate.
  3. Identify customers’ needs.
  4. Oversee the preparation of reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility.
  5. Plan and organize construction projects.
  6. Promote sales to existing clients.
  7. Recommend products or services to customers.
  8. Identify and solicit potential clients.
  9. Assess client’s needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services.
  10. Deliver sales presentations.
  11. Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service.
  12. Administer contracts for the provision of supplies and services.
  13. Direct the maintenance and repair of an establishment’s machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems.
  14. Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff.
  15. Plan and manage the facility’s operations budget.
  16. Resolve product and service related problems.
  17. Organize and maintain inventory.

Supervision: Staff in various areas of responsibility including janitors, caretakers, and building superintendents.

Salary: $43.75 hourly / 35 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time. Start Date: As soon as possible.

Employment Conditions: Day, Evening, Flexible Hours, Morning.

Requirements / Skills:

  1. Languages: English
  2. Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  3. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.

Workplace Information: Work must be completed both in person and remotely.

Work Setting: Shopping centre or mall, Commercial building, Various locations.

Computer and Technology Knowledge: MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Business management software, Spreadsheet.

Area of Specialization: Property management services.

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Attention to detail, Large workload, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling.
