SUMMARY

The Facility Manager III is the owner of the building(s), responsible for ensuring safe, cost-effective, and efficient operations according to the Statement of Work and client contract. This role involves being the primary BGIS representative on-site, collaborating with all departments to support building operations, and maintaining a proactive approach to facility management.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety and Regulatory Ownership
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and laws.
  • Collaborate with BGIS HSE teams to promote safety culture.
  • Lead safety and compliance initiatives within the building/region.
Leadership Development and Recognition
  • Supervise team members, set goals, evaluate performance, and mentor staff.
  • Encourage recognition programs and nurture leadership potential.
Technical Leadership and Oversight
  • Manage facilities covering 500,000 to 1 million sq ft, possibly across multiple properties.
  • Oversee technical staff, maintenance schedules, and ensure asset integrity.
Work Order Management
  • Coordinate with the Work Order Management team to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Monitor progress, maintain records, and prioritize work orders.
Site Inspection & Occupant Experience
  • Conduct site inspections, address issues proactively, and improve occupant satisfaction.
  • Maintain open communication with clients and tenants.
Financial Management
  • Manage budgets, analyze financial reports, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Vendor & Technology Management
  • Manage vendor relationships and monitor performance.
  • Leverage technology tools to enhance service delivery and staff training.
Knowledge & Skills
  • 5-10 years in property/facility management.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and technical skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Certified Facility Manager (IFMA), or equivalent certifications.
